The Love of Money

If I heard it once, I've heard it over and over again, that people giving money to their church, or some evangelist, or some other "Christian" cause is sowing seeds. This is complete nonsense! God does not need our money! He has no use for it! He doesn't need anyone to build a house for Him! He doesn't need a TV station! His word has gone out to the ends of the earth! Jesus sowed the true seed (Matthew 13) and that seed is the truth about His Kingdom, which is to come.

Jesus sent the Apostles out with that message and told them to give it for free (Matthew 10:1-10). This was promised through the prophet Isaiah when he said: The Lord says, “Come, everyone who is thirsty— here is water! Come, you that have no money—buy grain and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk—it will cost you nothing! Why spend money on what does not satisfy? Why spend your wages and still be hungry? Listen to me and do what I say, and you will enjoy the best food of all. (Isaiah 55:1-2)

Imposters use God's name to take money from people and claim God will bless them for giving. They and their money can go to hell! These imposters are wolves in sheep's clothing and are trying to take people away from God. Their father did the same thing! Be very careful of people who ask you for money - especially those who claim that God needs it!

Jesus has been building the true church. He doesn't need money to sustain it because not even death will overcome it (Matthew 16:18). Be careful of the imposters who claim that God told them to build churches. Even though millions flock to these houses of worship, they are worshiping God in vain!
